Waste Be Circular was the first THE MISSION program.

Together with 11 companies covering the entire plastic value chain, from production (Huhtamaki, Schur Flexibles), distribution (DB Schenker), retail (Schwarz Group), recycling (PreZero), and many more, the five selected teams worked on their solutions to reduce, reuse or recycle plastic waste.

Pacelo

To fill the gap of missing baggage capacity on conventional e-scooters, we design and develop a foldable, yet strong and robust baggage component for permanent attachement to the e-scooter.With added baggage capacity, the e-scooter is upgraded to a vehicle perfectly suitable for short trips with baggage in cities and represents an emission-free transportation alternative for a variety of mobility journeys in everyday life, e.g., grocery shopping, running errands, intermodal commuting and travelling etc.

Goldfinch

How can a platform solution connect companies that use drones for their goods transport with their customers? This is the question that the Goldfinch team is addressing. Drones are characterised by low energy consumption and low CO2 emissions. Since the team also wants to positively influence the social acceptance of drones in public spaces, the focus is on the transport of time-critical goods for hospitals, for example.

Connectra

The challenge is to ensure a good charging infrastructure for electric cars in the suburbs. For years, the development of charging stations for electrically powered vehicles has been a much-discussed topic, not only in Germany. The lack of charging options, for example, is still considered one of the most important reasons why people in the leading industrialized countries hesitate to buy e-cars. The idea for the program is therefore: to set up a network of electricity generators outside the major metropolises, based on excess energy from households and companies.

Neways

The challenge is to bring together different mobility modules in everyday life. If there is the possibility to use multi-modal offers according to need, mobility could be designed according to demand and at the same time cities would be relieved of individual traffic. The idea is to develop a flexible booking system, as a full-service platform, so that multi-modal planning of transport and everyday movement is possible.

GreenLight

The challenge is to expand mobility options for smaller companies and start-ups. While large companies have been breaking new ground for years to promote employee satisfaction and offer flexible mobility options, small and medium-sized companies and start-ups do not always have these options. The idea for the project therefore heads in the direction of a platform that provides various options flexibly and securely. This could help small businesses to offer enhanced mobility solutions.
