The sustainability debate has fully gripped the financial sector. So how can new, sustainable and integrated offerings look like, especially in retail banking, that a bank should offer its customers in the future?
The banking industry is currently going through a lot of changes, as the customer preferences and demands transform. Our project aims to determine the expectations of new generations of customers and adapt our partner Deutsche Bank’s offerings accordingly.
Consumers’ awareness of the importance of sustainability has drastically affected their purchasing behavior. When choosing a new product or a service, sustainability has become one of the deciding factors, especially for the younger generation.
Banks provide customers with different products and services at every stage of their lives. From financing the education, to buying their own house, to planning the retirement. They need to adapt their offerings to the preferences and expectations of the new generation to retain market leadership and grow their customer base.
But how? In collaboration with Deutsche Bank, Futury has defined five fields of innovation, in which customers reach out to banks’ services: Mobility, Education, Consumption, Nutrition and Aging.
In each of these five innovation fields, one team consisting out of 4 students develops an innovative idea. How do they do this? What does the innovation process look like? Have a look at our Blog Post about "Banking - Be Green!" to find out more.
During our project with Futury, we have seen that Futury offers us an excellent opportunity to work together with young, well-educated, and committed people to develop new, innovative ideas.
Futury helped us the most by offering us the access to the corporate partner network. This allowed us to validate our ideas and hypotheses and test our products in a real-world scenario.
