Transportation and mobility as a whole represent a big share of greenhouse gas emissions and an even bigger proportion of energy consumption. Therefore, THE MISSION VI aims to find solutions to make mobility more sustainable. Can shared mobility be the answer?
Together with Deutsche Bank, Bain & Company, GreenCycle and Handelsblatt, Futury has launched a new initiative for a sustainable future. We are searching for young talents for each of these twelve topics to develop sustainable solutions within 3-month innovation projects.
Are you concerned about the future of our planet? Join now to make a change!
As the traffic in cities is rising, the increase of air pollution, noise emissions and congestion are the consequences. In the search for space-saving, sustainable transport solutions, the linkage of existing infrastructures with new mobility services is becoming increasingly important.
In 2017, transportation alone represented 58% of all the energy consumed on the planet, according to the International Energy Agency and is therefore one of the greatest environmental challenges we face today. It seems like people need aseemingly infinite network of vehicles and transportation systems to uphold societies and economies that leave their indelible mark on the environment.
And eventhough access to mobility is a basic need for all, solutions are not available to everyone. That´s why numerous sharing concepts have emerged in recent years, which have been developing dynamically ever since. Shared mobility can enable those who don’t have access to a private vehicle to still be mobile.
Join THEMISSION VI and find your own solutions and benefit from the opportunity to build prototypes that assure sustainable mobility!
We will select the best 5 teams (i.e. 20 applicants) from all over the world who bring the highest motivation and the best ideas to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for the respective topic. Each team will work on one idea. For three months, the teams will work on their ideas in a co-working space in Frankfurt and will have the opportunity to intensively collaborate withall partners.
Futury will welcome the teams with an intensive onboarding week full of methodological workshops, e.g. Design Thinking & User Research, as well as expert lectures in Frankfurt to put them directly on the right track. Afterwards, they will prepare their initial pitches for the first milestone event - the Kick-off - where they will present their innovative and sustainable ideas and get to knowall project partner for the first time.
From then on, the teams start turning their ideas into reality. All project partnerswill support the teams with their know-how, industry insights and best practices. Through regular exchanges and on-sight visits, we ensure a co-creational approach. All teams will be accompanied by Bain & Company, one of the world’s leading strategy consulting firms, who provide helpful advice, methods and tools. Futury gives access to any other expert needed: user research, prototyping, business modelling and testing specialists. And get exposed: the Handelsblatt, an initiator of THE MISSION, will give you great reach through their media channels!
After three months of intensive work, the teams will present their prototypes and business models to all partners. This could be the first step towards your own start-up or direct career access to one of the partners. How far you want to reach simply depends on your commitment.
It depends on several factors which THE MISSION project follows next. We at Futury have to find and win suitable corporate partners for the project, coordinate the time frame with them, and take other factors into account. Due tothese facts, we can only publish the exact start date and application period about six months before we start a project.
But if you are interested in this exact project and don't want to miss the start of the application phase - then apply now via the application form below by uploading your CV. Futury is an innovation and company building platform that connects students and innovation-seeking companies. We like to give talented people the opportunity to unlock their full potential by developing value-based innovations.
Futury starts with the innovation request of the business partner, transforms it into a project and invites young talents and entrepreneurs to participate in these. During the project phase, the teams go through a structured, three-month start-up and innovation program that takes them from the first concept to the final business case.
In addition to professional and technical workshops, the teams are coached by experienced mentors of the Werte-Stiftung, to ensure sustainability in innovation.
For me, Futury means diversity, both on a professional level and a personal level, fun and lots of innovation and new experiences.
Besides an energizing team spirit, you become part of a potential new start-up in a setting incomparable to anything else. Or can you think about a place where you get all the freedom you need to be creative and being paid for creating your own company?
